After school Caritas Village provides a safe haven for children of the neighborhood. Although there is no organized program, children are welcome. They sit, talk and play games. Much like the adults who come to gather at Caritas Village, the children also come to find a sense of belonging and connection. The Village's lower level is a coffee shop that also works as a music/library/game-playing living room and den. Clean, brightly colored, and spacious, the coffee-shop serves an impressive variety of delicious lunches Mon. thru Sat.

The “Racism” and “Reconciliation” classes deal with evocative and powerful matters that reflect on racism, its meaning, definition and articulation in the context of our life together and apart in the local community, the United States and world. Scriptures along with other writings will be the guides with which we begin as we search for expressions of racial reconciliation that are personal, social and universal.
